Mark Cuban expressed his appreciation for Polygon and Injective as his preferred projects outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Recently, Mark Cuban ran a burst “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) event via X on Monday afternoon, interacting with his 8.8 million followers and discussing a variety of topics, including those related to Crypto Assets.
When asked about his preference for Crypto Assets projects other than Bitcoin and Ethereum, Mark Cuban highlighted Polygon and Injective, saying, “I invested in both (DYOR).”
DALLAS MAVERICKS STILL **** ACCEPT DOGEE
ONE OF THE QUESTIONS RELATED TO CUBANE’S SUPPORT FOR DOGE, AND THE USER ASKED, “DOES THE MAVERICKS STILL ACCEPT DOGE?” To which Cuban replied simply: “Yes.” CUBAN’S NBA TEAM, THE DALLAS MAVERICKS, HAS GARNERED A LOT OF ATTENTION FOR BEING ONE OF THE FIRST LARGE BUSINESSES TO ACCEPT DOGEE AS A PAYMENT METHOD.
LOOKING BACK AT THE SUCCESS OF DOGE, CUBAN ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THOSE WHO INVESTED WHEN THE MAVERICKS STARTED ACCEPTING DOGE WILL NOW BE REWARDED.
When asked about the viral Dogwiphat meme and whether he supports it, Cuban replied bluntly: “I don’t pay attention to this.” Unlike many other Crypto Assets enthusiasts, Cuban doesn’t seem to have much interest in meme coins like Dogwifhat like Solana.
In a more light-hearted moment, a profile that made a prank of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell asked Cuban: “Do you like my printer?” to which Cuban humorously replied: “Uh-huh”, quoting the voice of the printing press.
Non-fungible tokens should be collected, not speculated
The discussion shifted to Fungible Tokens (Non-fungible Tokens), in which Cuban is considered a connoisseur. Despite the speculative nature of Non-fungible Token, Cuban emphasized that Non-fungible Token is primarily collectible and should be used for use or collection, not speculation.
Speaking about DeFi (Decentralized Finance), Cuban emphasized the need for new, more practical ideas. Although he has invested in Decentralized Finance, he doesn’t seem too happy with its current state, saying, "I hope so. But it didn’t go in that direction. ”
As someone with experience in both traditional finance and Crypto Assets, Cuban is skeptical about turning real-world assets as Tokens, which he said would be a “difficult sale to push.” This view differs from Larry Fink’s view, which believes that all assets will eventually be tokenized.
In his overall thinking about the Crypto Assets space as a whole, Cuban’s views are similar to those of many retail investors: "I hate speculation, but I like things that have utility. ”
