The first mass-produced AI shooting glasses in China are here, with these companies participating

On December 20th, Ke Chuangban Daily (Reporter Huang Xinyi) reported that Shanjike Technology released the first domestically produced AI shooting glasses, Shanjike AI Pat Pat Mirror, which is now in mass production.

In an interview after the meeting, Zhang Bo, CEO of Shanjiji Technology, said that the goal of this generation of products is to achieve an annual shipment volume of more than 500,000 units and sales of more than 600 million yuan. ‘We will also promote this glasses overseas and comprehensively lay out the offline introduction channels in Europe through the sales team in Europe and local subsidiaries.’

Just before the release of the Shanjiji AI selfie mirror, Shanjiji Technology announced the completion of a hundred million yuan Series A round of financing, with participants including Oasis Capital, Guangyuan Investment, Future Light Cone Frontier Technology Fund, and Yun Tian Lifly, a company listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board.

At the press conference, Deng Haoran, director and senior vice president of Yuntu Li Fei, introduced that Yuntu Li Fei provided functions such as universal recognition based on self-developed large-scale models for this pair of glasses, and provided self-owned computing chips and cloud-based storage and computing integrated server clusters to support the development of FlashExtreme Technology.

In addition to Yun Tian Li Fei, Shan Ji AI Pat Mirror also supports dozens of large models access, including Wen Xin Yi Yan, Xun Fei Xing Huo, Byte Bean Bag, Tong Yi Qian Wen, Tencent Hun Yuan, Kimi, Zhi Pu, Shang Tang, MiniMax, etc., also supports access to private Al models.

In terms of suppliers, Flash Extreme Technology collaborates with Rui Sheng Technology to build support for HI-FI speakers, and collaborates with Spreadtrum Communications to build a flagship low-power ARM platform.

The reporter of the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” learned from the on-site experience that through voice interaction, FlashExtreme AI supports camera shooting, intelligent assistant, voice recorder, AI cloud disk, AI flash notes and other functions. Among them, AI cloud disk supports cloud full storage of daily shooting and recording, realizing end-to-end cloud-integrated encryption of the whole chain.

Regarding whether to add AR display module in the future, Zhang Bo stated that they won’t consider doing the display part until AI reconstructs user’s UI habits.

Before AI reconstructs the UI display interface, we won’t work on this display part. Because currently, the efficiency of humans entering the virtual world is not high, and it is not possible to wear it all the time. This is also because the current UI interface is based on keyboards, mice, and data, which are not needed for AI. So for the first-generation product, we hope to achieve the ultimate in voice UI. In the future, when users need it, when the entire UI usage habits are completely reconstructed by AI, the display part can be considered.

Currently, the industry chain of smart glasses is not mature due to its relatively small scale in the domestic market and consumers’ still relatively basic understanding of this product category. Zhang Bo believes that it is difficult for any electronic product to achieve the ultimate software and hardware experience throughout the entire supply chain without a breakthrough of millions.

When it comes to the current industry chain bottlenecks, Zhang Bo said that ultra-lightweight and long endurance are the two major difficulties.

The yield is relatively low in the ultra-lightweight process and technology. For example, imported materials are completely innovative, and injection molding is very difficult, and the complexity of the process is also very high. It is very complicated to add so many devices to ordinary glasses and control the weight at 50 grams. Long battery life is expected to solve the difficulty of wearing glasses all day long. In addition, the cost of the cloud-based AI service cluster is something that many entrepreneurial teams dare not imagine. Fortunately, we have cloud day flight to cooperate with us at low cost to complete the early development, so that the service can be implemented.

Zhang Bo revealed that they also plan to establish their own Industry 4.0 flexible production supply chain next year. ‘By producing personalized materials through flexible supply chains, we will offer users more diverse options.’

Shanjike Technology, which started with mobile energy storage products, is expected to exceed 200 million yuan in revenue in 2024. Its healthy profits and cash flow are its advantages compared to other AI startups.

“We have the ability to continue our own hematopoiesis, and in 2024, after the formal external financing began in August, we have finalized more than 100 million yuan of financing within a month, and we are the most powerful team in the industry in terms of funds.” Zhang Bo mentioned.

Regarding the future prospects of AI glasses, Deng Haoran believes that AI glasses are not only consumer goods for end-users, but also have several application values for businesses. They can also be used in public safety, urban governance, and industrial manufacturing, where frontline workers in these areas can also use those glasses. In the future, Yuntianlifly and Flash Extreme will explore the landing in the B-end market.
