TechFlow news, on February 10, according to Cointelegraph, President Touadera of the Central African Republic announced the official meme coin CAR on the X platform this morning, calling it an “experiment” to promote national development. However, the announcement video was flagged as suspicious by two AI depth forgery detection tools. According to GMGN market data, CAR Market Cap has now exceeded 7 billion US dollars.

The authenticity of the project has been questioned by many. Two detection models of the AI Depth forgery detection platform Deepware show that the video statement released by the president is highly suspicious, with one model indicating an 82% likelihood of Depth forgery.

Unrevealed XYZ founder Yokai Ryujin pointed out that the project domain was registered only three days ago through Namecheap, and the registration method does not comply with government operating norms. Domain service provider Namecheap has suspended related services, but the project website is still running.

In addition, industry insiders questioned the practice of releasing announcements at local midnight and using English instead of the official language, French, which is unreasonable. Currently, the official X account @Carmeme_news has been banned by the platform.
