  • Reputed crypto analyst explains why altseason did not play out in 2025.

  • The expert goes on to say that the price of altcoins will surge in 2026 instead.

  • He even goes on to declare that this pump will usher in the greatest altseason peak yet.

The crypto community has been eagerly awaiting a bullish altseason peak phase since the bull market pump began in 2024, when the price of BTC started to surge and hit new ATH prices. Unfortunately, this bullish altseason has yet to make its debut. One reputed crypto analyst explains why altseason did not play out in 2025 and instead breaks down why he believes altseason will arrive in 2026 instead.

Reputed Crypto Analyst Explains Why Altseason Did Not Play Out in 2025

The latest bull cycle began when the price of BTC began to surge in 2024, following the Bitcoin Halving event. Soon after, 2025 led to more new ATH prices for BTC, although in 2024, when BTC was already in price discovery, analysts and experts were predicting the arrival of altseason instead. Unfortunately, that awaited altseason never arrived to this day in 2026.

To elaborate, Q1 of 2025 was expected to usher in the bull cycle’s altseason peak phase. Instead, during this time, the crypto market underwent a deep correction, when the price of ETH finally bottomed, and rose over the next two quarters alongside BTC. During this time, a handful of altcoins set new ATH prices, which were not very impressive, much like ETH itself, which set one new ATH just above its previous high.

Altseason Will Instead Arrive in 2026

Finally, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) went on to set a new ATH in the $126,000 price range in Q4 of 2025, followed by a $20 billion liquidation event, which pushed all prices back under and destroyed any hope for altseason to follow. Even now, the price of BTC and ETH struggles to reclaim higher prices and continues to fight to keep crucial support levels week after week.

EVERYONE CALLED FOR ALTSEASON IN 2025.
AND WHAT HAPPENED?
IT NEVER CAME.

Everyone who blindly believed it
got chopped.
Got rekt.
Lost patience.

Now look at sentiment today.

Everyone says altseason is DEAD.
“Altcoins will never run again.”
“BTC only.”
“memecoins killed alts.”… https://t.co/me1QgYuzZ6 pic.twitter.com/aHhkIeRzLt

As we can see from the post above, all hope is not lost, and experts believe that 2026 can still welcome the altseason peak phase. To highlight, the analyst in the post above says that when sentiments for altseason were high during previous times during the cycle, the market fell. This time, as sentiments are low and no one truly expects an altseason, it is likely for altcoin assets to outperform.

The analyst goes on to conclude that altseason will arrive, but only after altcoin prices continue to run. This run will be more than a relief rally or a ‘fake pump’. Yes, this surge will be remembered as the biggest altcoin season ever, declared the expert. With liquidity waiting to flood the market, AI coins gaining momentum, and rotation preparing to hit the altcoin sector, this altseason will be a memorable one.
