Snowflake Expands AI Products with New Connectors and Developer Tools

Gate News message, April 22 — Snowflake announced expansions to its AI products, Snowflake Intelligence and Cortex Code, as enterprises accelerate AI adoption from pilot programs to production environments.

Snowflake Intelligence added connectors for Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Jira, Salesforce, and Slack, along with new app and research features. Cortex Code now supports AWS Glue, Databricks, and PostgreSQL. The company is also launching a VS Code extension, a Claude Code plugin, and software development kits for Python and TypeScript.

Snowflake reported that more than 9,100 customers use its AI products on a weekly basis. As of January 31, 2026, the company had 733 customers generating over $1 million in trailing 12-month product revenue. The updates reflect intensifying competition among data platform vendors to build comprehensive AI ecosystems and retain users amid broader industry consolidation.
